The Thera-vital is a motor-assisted exercise device, fully wheelchair accessible and comes with a brilliant colour display and built-in feedback software for exercise training. Often referred to as a Passive Exercise System, Thera-vital offers passive, active and active with assistance/resitance exercise modes.
Offering upper and lower body exercise, as well as an extensive list of optional accessories to assist and support extremities, users of nearly any physical condition including paralyzed or sedentary patients can benefit from movement exercise with the Thera-Vital.
During passive exercise, the powerful motor initiates the exercise session. As the user’s extremities begin to move through a range of motion they are benefiting from increased blood circulation, gentle stretching and “warming” up the muscles. At any time the patient can begin pedaling actively and adjust the resistance to suit. The Thera-Vital seamlessly switches between Passive and Active modes.
The large color display screen allow the user to see their progress during the therapy session, and a summary report of the enitre exercise session is displayed at the end of the workout. During active exercising, you have the option of displaying a motivational biofeedback screen or using Symmetrical training to improve Right-Left deficits, especially useful for stroke patients.
